JJ gowns are uniquely designed 100 percent pima cotton baby gowns, sewn with love in Nashville, Tenn. You will find no two pieces exactly alike because they are appliqued one at a time by hand. While many believe this is too time-consuming in our fast-paced world, we believe that the quality is worth the sacrifice. The product line consists of a lap-shoulder sacque gown, receiving blanket and burp cloth. All pieces are made with 100 percent pima cotton from Peru, and each piece may be appliqued with a variety of different designs that make each set uniquely its own.

JJ GOWN HISTORY

JJ gowns began in 1994 as a result of Joyce Johnson’s attempt to locate a baby gift for a dear friend. After searching in vain for a soft gown for the new baby, she decided to draw on her love of sewing and create the gift herself. After seeing the exquisite attention to detail, a local boutique owner asked Joyce to supply her store with a few gowns, and so the story begins. JJ gowns are now distributed across the United States through select boutiques that are committed to handling high-quality goods. Today, the JJ gown company is owned by Nashvillians Kendra La and Macy Mulligan. They purchased the business when they learned that Joyce was going to retire and close her company. Kendra and Macy own Plaid Rabbit and couldn’t image their boutique without the JJ gown. It is one of their top-selling baby gifts year after year.
